External Diseases, Refractive Surgery, Cataract
Surgery, General Ophthalmology
“I knew that I
wanted to pursue a career in medicine when I was 5
years old. While growing up in a very small town in
Colombia, I met a doctor who came to our village
once a month to provide care for anyone who needed
it. I really admired this man and wanted to care
for people someday, too. I moved to the United
States at age 17 and, after serving in the United
States Navy, went on to earn my bachelor’s degree
and medical degree. When I decided to become an
ophthalmologist, I also made a commitment to offer
the very latest advances to my patients along with
the friendly, highly personalized care they want and
deserve.”
